THE CONCEPT
Clalit operates a chain of healthcare centers (HMO) in Israel. The company promotes a healthy lifestyle for its customers, and has dedicated a special website for this cause.
THE TECHNICALITIES
Until recently, flash technology was the synonym of 'web animations'. Nowadays, however, this technology is considered obsolete and is gradually disappearing. This entire project and all the animated elements in it were built without using flash technology, and as such it demonstrates the wonderful graphic capabilities HTML5 can deliver. HTML5 technology is relatively new and therefore not fully supported by older browsers such as IE8 and its predecessors. Nevertheless, the website was carefully designed to look great on older browsers as well.
THE BOTTOM LINE
When designing a new website, it's important to remember that almost 1/5 of Internet users still use older browsers. Their user experience should be taken into account where possible, while moving forward with the latest web technologies.
