Lidl - Kiss Detection App

The Concept

For Valentine's day, we brought together our two favorite things: Innovation and Love. Lidl's Valentine Kiss website invited people from all over Europe to show their love with a kiss. Once the kiss was detected by our groundbreaking custom made Kiss Detector, they could win a romantic prize.

The Technicalities

Hundreds of development hours were put into creating a first-of-its-kind detecting algorithm that will work on all devices and with all camera settings. Since Lidl is an international supermarket chain, we then crafted a system that adapted the website for 28 different countries and supported all languages and platform, both web and mobile.

The Bottom Line

Love was spread all across Europe, as almost a million people from across 28 countries shared their love with a kiss and many of them were rewarded with a romantic prize that helped their love flourish.
