Crunch is famous for its loud 'crunchy' sound, and in the same spirit we were asked to create a Facebook activity that revolves around sounds. The application was an auditory quiz game, in which the players had to identify various sound effects as quickly as possible out of 4 possible answers.
The game was designed for both PC and mobile access. Much attention was given to the graphic aspect of the game which included exhilarating animations and loading-screens. One of our challenges was creating a rich mobile experience that will not fall from the high standard of the web-app, and also won't affect the chances of winning due to usability drawbacks.
The quickest players won valuable prizes, including several all-expense paid trips to New York City for them and 3 additional friends. The campaign was promoted on national TV, and a significant increase in sales was noted during this period.
